Conflict resolution and training services for schools

WMS is an award-winning, non-profit conflict resolution and training provider. We offer a range of services to schools in both the private and state sectors, to reduce conflict and empower pupils and staff with communication skills.

Primary schools

Training services for primary schools

Practical, engaging programmes that build confidence, empathy and calm communication.

Peer Mediation Programme for primary schools

Games-based training for pupils to become mediators resolving playground conflicts and referring serious incidents (e.g. bullying) to dedicated adults. Run by volunteer pupils, benefits the whole school.

Conflict resolution workshop for KS2 pupils

90-minute workshop for the whole class on how to manage behaviour and resolve conflict at school and at home.

De-escalation training for school staff

One-day training course for teachers and school staff. The aim is to equip them with mediation skills so they can resolve conflict more effectively.

Training services for secondary schools

Targeted programmes that support behaviour, emotional regulation and calmer learning.

Reflect for KS3 and KS4

Targeted behaviour intervention for students at risk of exclusion. Covers emotional regulation and conflict awareness life skills in small groups. Unique, games-based programme, unlike any in the UK.

Anger Management assembly for KS3

60-minute assembly to help students understand what happens in their bodies and brains during conflict, and how to respond more calmly when emotions run high.

De-escalation training for school staff

One-day training course for teachers and school staff. The aim is to equip them with mediation skills so they can resolve conflict more effectively.

Mediation

Mediation services for schools

WMS can also help your school resolve conflict within your teams or with students’ families. By choosing WMS, you will access some of the UK’s most experienced mediators at charitable rates. Mediation can be arranged within 3–4 weeks, online or in person. Our mediators work pro bono, and every penny supports our charitable services.
