Conflict Resolution Workshop for KS2
A games-based workshop for Year 4–6 pupils that builds practical skills for understanding and managing conflict.
About the workshop
Conflict is a normal part of growing up, but many children don’t yet have the tools to understand what is happening or respond in a positive way. This workshop helps KS3 pupils understand conflict and practise ways to manage it constructively.
The session sits alongside RSE, PATHS and Zones of Regulation, reinforcing what pupils are already learning.
What pupils gain
- Greater self-awareness around conflict and their own reactions.
- A shared language for talking about feelings and disagreement.
- Practical strategies to stay calm and avoid escalation.

This workshop can be booked as a stand-alone session. It also works well as part of a broader approach to conflict in school, alongside:
- Peer Mediation Programme — training Year 5–6 pupils to resolve playground disputes independently. Games-based and SEN-friendly.
- Conflict management training for staff — practical de-escalation tools for teachers, SLTs and support staff.
- School mediation — conflict resolution services for workplace conflict, disputes with suppliers and parents.
"The sessions delivered were made bespoke for our pupils which meant they were extremely purposeful and ensure pupils gained the knowledge and skills needed in their own lives."
"It reinforced the strategies that we have to resolve conflict in our school already. It was good to explore different scenarios."
